The Project Manager III is a project/operations leader that leverages trust, relationships and goodwill to achieve results. The role focuses on aligning project interests with the goals, values, and objectives of TC Electric to yield positive results for the company. The Project Manager III works with project leaders to ensure that the project team is delivering safe, high quality and profitable projects to our clients. Project Manager III are responsible for taking on projects of highest complexity, duration, and expense.


  • Direct and supervise work of project administration, project superintendents and engineers to establish operational priorities.
  • Effectively lead projects of high complexity, duration, and expense.
  • Align project interests with TC Electric’s organizational interests.
  • Balance risk and opportunity on projects.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Awareness of organizational objectives and their effect on project resources.
  • Optimize the use of organizational assets.
  • Utilize knowledge of contracts, specifications and standards.
  • Effectively communicate project risks and guide project managers accordingly.
  • Lead and assist in subcontractor and vendor management.
  • Identify financial issues, scheduled risks and contractual challenges and drive economical solutions to complex problems.
  • Present arguments clearly to executives as well as clients.
  • Seek collaborative and long-term solutions.
  • Enable project management decision-making through the effective use of information.
  • Reinforce project management best practices through training, knowledge sharing and mentoring.
  • Raise the bar for project execution throughout the organization.
  • Serve as a mentor for members of the TC project team including APMs and engineers.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.


  • Background of 15+ years of experience in project management or related area in the construction industry.
  • Experience with NYC agencies, preferably divisions of MTA, is preferable but not a must
  • Experience managing multiple projects and project leaders at once.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to function effectively as a team player.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge on all types of systems.
  • Experience working with higher level technology and programs.
  • Strong understanding of resource management, construction economics, risk management, project integration, and budgeting in the construction industry.


  • Recent college graduate in Engineering, Business, Construction Management and/or equivalent experience in Project Management.
  • PMP or MBA preferred but not required.
  • PE preferred but not required
